i'm having a hard time figuring out what is important focally. the art itself is creative and i love the colors. the arrow seems to have a lot of importance but the eye is getting all the attention from the arrow.
and the eyes, it looks like he see with blinders, but sees what? is the arrow not pointing at the guy at all but is like a sign to go the way it's pointing?
can he see the arrow? if it weren't an actual arrow but a totally abstract shape, then i would know to be focused on the boy. but because you picked an arrow on purpose, and NOT something abstract, it makes me curious ....

thanks for your comments. To be honest, this sketch was done intuitively... without a lot of specific meaning intended. Of course, meaning ends up coming out of just playing with shapes and drawing, so I think it is something to do with heading in a direction and being thwarted or pressured to go the other way. Again, though, it was done so quickly and intuitively, I don't have a clear statement worked out as to it's meaning. Sometimes I like art like that. Thanks again! Glad you're finding all the cool Alice In Wonderland art on here. You can pretty much search for any subject on deviantart, and SOMEONE is making art about it.
when you said that it may have something to do with feeling pressured to go the other way, i looked again.
and i thought, yes, that arrow is so obnoxious, it's overwhelming. (not your art itself, i mean what it's expressing) and i also saw a determination in the boy's expression that i had not seen before. also, the arrow doesn't seem to be a helful arrow.
since it's so intrusive,it does give the feeling it's a thwart of some kind. cool,i guess intuitive art can mean anything, i can see what you like about it.
